Who is this qualification for and what is its purpose?

Individuals with a red CPCS card who need to complete the required NVQ in order to convert to a blue CPCS Competent Operator Card should enrol in this programme. The qualification can be completed by persons who do not follow the CPCS Scheme to demonstrate their competency in the function of Appointed Person.

Assessment Techniques

Candidates must collect naturally occurring work-based evidence to obtain the qualification, which may comprise some or all of the following:

• Customer correspondence, inquiry forms, and request forms for site visits
• Drawings from the initial site visit, as well as any supporting paperwork/photographs
• Job Sheets, Method Statements/Risk Assessments
• Timesheets and Duty Charts for Cranes
• Copies of your CPCS card and any training certificates you may have
• Any other documents that the assessor and candidate both agree is valid.

• Level 5 NVQ Diploma
• Appointed Person CPCS Blue Competency A61
