This course is for applicants who are existing PTS & DCCR holders, and want to re-certify in order to continue working on or near the line on Network Rail’s infrastructure.

Course Objectives

The refresher course is aimed at existing PTS holders and will consist of a reassessment of knowledge in relation to Personal Safety on or near the line.

This course is mandatory every two years to ensure that your skills are up-to-date; it also allows you to be retrained if there have been any updates or changes to the qualification.

Requirements:

• Be at least 16 years old.
  Pass a medical check according to Network Rail’s fitness guidelines (Network Rail Standard NR/L2/OHS/00124).Follow Network Rail’s rules on Drugs & Alcohol (Network Rail Standard NR/L1/OHS/051).
• Finish any necessary online training or tests before attending hands-on training sessions.
• Understand English well, as outlined in the Network Rail guidelines, (NR/S/CTM/021).
