OLEC 1 Course
The OLEC 1 course is available in our training centre or at a location of your choice. The OLEC 1 course begins with a briefing from an experienced trainer, followed by an eLearning session and either a computer-based test or a written evaluation (for on-site venues).
In addition to your OLEC 1 Course, you will need to complete a Personal Track Safety Course (PTS) to operate “on or near the line” on Network Rail infrastructure.
Employer/Sponsor:
You must be associated with an employer/sponsor who will create a Sentinel profile before taking the OLEC 1 course.
If you do not have an employer/sponsor, please contact us and we will make arrangements for you!
You must have a valid Drug & Alcohol test with your current Sponsor to be eligible for the OLEC 1 course. If you need a fresh drug and alcohol test, call us to schedule an appointment before your OLEC 1 class or book online.
What You Learn on your OLEC 1 course:
The OLEC 1 course begins with a briefing from an experienced trainer and ends with a computer theory test or written evaluation. The training covers the following topics:
- Component parts of the OLE system
- Hazards & Risks associated with OLE construction
- OLE site activities
- Health and Safety in the workplace
You can access OLE construction sites on Network Rail Managed Infrastructure and Network Rail Infrastructure projects after completing the OLEC 1 course.
