Track Induction
Candidates will learn how to properly determine their roles and obligations when operating on or near the line, as well as get a basic grasp of track engineering concepts such as permanent way construction, components, and work techniques.
Who Is The Course Suitable For?
The training is designed for those who are new to track engineering.
Candidates must have current, valid Personal Track Safety, Emergency First Aid, and Manual Handling skills before to taking this 5-day track introduction training.
On successful completion of the course the candidates will be able to:
- Demonstrate their ability to use tools and equipment.
- Demonstrate their understanding of Permanent Way terms and procedures
Additional Information
Before taking the 5-day track introduction training, candidates must be over the age of 16 and be sponsored by a link-up recognised railway business. This is a firm that has been approved to supply staff to the railway sector after being audited and certified. This sponsoring company’s Sentinel coordinator will need to sign our course booking form and provide their linkup site ID number to indicate their willingness to sponsor you.
Only individuals with a good enough command of the English language to make an emergency call will be allowed to attend.
