Who is this course aimed at?

This course is required for all workers and supervisors performing excavations and other roadway work. It is a hands-on course that includes extensive training and examinations.

The content of the course comprises the following:

• Signing, lighting, and guarding
• Excavation in the highway
• Reinstatement and compaction of backfill materials
• Reinstatement of non-bituminous sub-base and road-base materials
• Laying practises and reinstatement of cold lay bituminous materials
• Reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways
• Detection of buried services

Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate.

Successful candidates will be awarded an accredited certificate as well as an ID card from the Street Works Qualification Register.
