Current PTS cards can take the Controller of Site Safety Course (COSS) to learn how to build up a safe system of work to safeguard a workgroup while on or near the line anywhere on the Network Rail Managed Infrastructure. The Overhead Line and Conductor Rail Permit (OLP/CRP) module is included in the COSS course. 

Current PTS cardholders can take the Controller of Site Safety Course (COSS) to learn how to build up a safe system of work that protects a workgroup when on or near the line. The Overhead Line and Conductor Rail Permit (OLP/CRP) module is included in the COSS course. 

As a PTS cardholder, the first step in obtaining your COSS certificate is to develop experience and expertise of working on the railway. When you’re ready, you can enrol in the COSS course on your preferred date. You must complete a pre-course workbook supplied by your employer/sponsor before attending. 

Your Railway Medical must be current, including a drug and alcohol test. If you change employers or sponsors, you must undergo a fresh drug and alcohol test. Please contact us to schedule an appointment prior to attending your course, or book online.
