SSOWP Initial
The goal of this training is to give delegates the knowledge and skills they need to prepare a Safe Work Pack (SWP) for personnel working on NWR-controlled infrastructure.
The SSOWP Pre-Training Assessments must have been completed and documented as an event in the Sentinel system. Candidates will be ineligible to attend if this is not displayed on Sentinel.
Please be aware that if applicants do not get the requisite pass mark, they will be unable to repeat the assessment for 48 hours.
Pre-Requisite Requirements
- Must be a minimum age of 18.
- Must have a Sentinel Profile.
- Must have sufficient command of English language, be literate in IT and mathematics and be conversant with Standard RT/L2/OHS/019 Safety of People Working on or Near the Line.
- Photo ID – For British Nationals – a current and valid recognised, branded form of identity token, used for accessing the RMI (Railway Maintained Infrastructure) such as a Sentinel Card, full driving licence, passport, biometric ID Card, resident permit as per Home Office guidance or ‘ValIDate’ card. For Non-British Nationals – a current and valid passport is required.
Individual trainees’ managers are responsible for determining their suitability to attend the course in line with the current issue of NR/L2/CTM/021 Competence and Training in Track Safety.
