Who is this course aimed at?

This course is aimed to attract experienced and capable Temporary Works Co-ordinators. Competence is based on a combination of education, training, and experience, and it should be assessed by a senior professional, known as the Designated Individual (DI). Training is regarded as a critical component of Temporary Works Co-ordinator proficiency.

Delegates must attend both sessions because the Temporary Works Co-ordinator Training Course cannot be completed without full attendance and passing the examination.

Contents of the Course

Construction Skills administers this course, which is not a temporary works awareness training. It is intended for anybody involved in the temporary works coordination process, which is frequently expressed through the function of the Temporary Works Co-ordinator. The ability to work as a Temporary Works Co-ordinator is not determined by attendance.

Throughout the course, the necessity of communication, coordination, cooperation, and competency is emphasised. The ‘4Cs’ are a set of four criteria for evaluating a product

• Allowing the Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC) to:
  • Understand the need for the duties of a TWC
  • Understand the role of others
  • Have a thorough understanding of BS5975 in relation to this position

Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate.

Multiple-choice questions will be used to assess students at the end of the course, and they will also be expected to be involved during the course. Candidates will receive a certificate from Construction Skills if they complete the course successfully.
